Saddest

Sadness creeps in like a heavy fog,
Drifting in and enveloping the heart,
A weight that pulls and tugs and sobs,
Leaving behind a tear-stained mark.
It lingers in the shadows of the mind,
A constant presence that won't depart,
Aching, longing, leaving us blind,
To the beauty and joy that once did start.
But even in the depths of despair,
There lies a spark of hope that shines,
A glimmer of light that's always there,
To guide us back to happier times.
So let sadness come and go as it may,
For in its wake, we'll find strength anew,
And though it may darken our days,
It will never dim the light within you.
