In the darkness of my mind,

A heavy weight I cannot find.

It pulls me down, consumes my soul,

Leaves me feeling empty and cold.

A constant battle rages within,

A war I fear I cannot win.

I try to fight, to push it away,

But it lingers, day by day.

It clouds my thoughts, distorts my view,

Leaving me feeling lost and blue.

I long for peace, for light, for hope,

But in the darkness, I can't cope.

Depression grips me tight, won't let go,

Leaving me with nowhere to go.

But deep within this endless night,

A spark of hope, a flicker of light.

I cling to it, with all my might,

Hoping one day, I'll see the light.

So I soldier on, through the pain,

Hoping one day, I'll break the chain.

Depression may linger, but I'll fight,

For I know, one day, I'll see the light.
