In the depths of darkness, I once did roam,

Lost in a haze, far from home.

Addiction held me in its grip,

A never-ending, downward trip.

But then I found the strength within,

To break free from the chains of sin.

I made the choice to seek a new way,

To embrace the light of a sober day.

Each step forward was a battle won,

A victory over the demon that had spun,

A web of lies and deceit around me,

But now I stood tall, strong and free.

Sobriety became my guiding light,

A beacon in the darkest night.

It gave me hope, it gave me peace,

A chance to rebuild, to release.

No longer bound by drugs or drink,

I found a new way to think.

Clear-headed and full of grace,

I embraced sobriety's warm embrace.

So here I stand, proud and true,

A testament to what one can do.

With courage, faith, and a heart so bold,

Sobriety has made me whole.
